Skypaw bounded up to the burnt sycamore, his legs bunched under neath him as he ran. he liked his fur that was longer than other cats. it meant that it was harder for them to grab his skin. his black paws hit the earth as he darted along determined to beat snowstar there.

Snowstar sat in the bush. She looked out once to see Skypaw charging at her. "Well, at least your speed and stamina is good."she chuckled.

the reply was instant "because shadow clan is the best clan! the other clans are inferior!". His blue eyes blazed with pride in his clan. he truly believed that. he lashed his black tail and meowed "can we start battle training? afterall battles can happen at any time"

Snowstar smiled. "You remember when your dad battled Snakestar and did a duck and twist?"she said and got into fighting position. "And as it's name says, all you gotta do is duck and twist."she said then demonstrated.

Snowstar smiled. Not liking the part about Snakestar though. "Try doing the jump you did at Pine forest, but, don't jump off and cling on tight."she said. "When you use that move, the foe won't be able to reach you with their paws."she said. "But....they can squash you."she said.

Skypaw scoffed "they wouldnt be able to squash me!" he flexed his muscular front legs and grinned. even as a kit he had been obsessed with becoming a warrior. he arched his back and lashed his tail. with a duck he moved and leapt onto snowflowers back. he dug his claws in. and kept close to her back so she wouldnt be able to unbalance him. his Sky blue eyes glittered with determination.

However Skypaw didnt let go, as snowstar rolled on him he retracted his claws and shoved her up into the air. he let out a furious hiss and puffed up his long shaggy fur. he snorted if that impundent tigerkit could see him now.
