Windclan Camp

Snakestar stretched and got up. his long legs carrying him at least a cat higher than the rest of the other cats. he flicked his long spotted and striped tail and gave the faintest hint of a purr. none of his other clanmates were up. he thought about waking his deputy smallnose then shook his head rejecting that idea. he would let her sleep. with a stretch of his long legs he turned and trotted out of camp heading for the shadowclan border.

Littlenose awoke and stumbled out of the Warrior's den. She saw Snakestar leaving and followed him. Where could he be going at this hour? The she-cat wondered. Bounding after him, she almost caught up. -SC Border-

Snakestar stomped back into camp and leapt up onto the tallrock. as he stared around the clearing he decided "Mudfur, you will acompany me to the gathering". his long tail lashed as he leapt down from the rock and lightly sat down he began grooming himself.

Mudfur had just finished eating a mouse when he heard Snakestar say that he would be accompanying the leader to the gathering. Mudfur turned to his leader and nodded, "Ok Snakestar." He stretched and then padded over to the entrance of the WindClan camp before sitting down and waiting for Snakestar to give him the signal to leave.

Snakestar padded over to mudfur and said "try not to get into an argument with that arrogant Creekfire ok mudfur?" He remembered the last gathering, how the hot furred creekfire got into an almost fight with mudfur and shook his head. his brown eyes glittered with amusement and laughter. He yawned and said "hopefully we will get some more kits ready to be apprentices"

Mudfur chuckled as he remembered that "little" argument. "Ok, I'll do my best." He looked around the empty clearing when Snakestar mentioned kits becoming apprentices. "Yes. We need as many apprentices as possible. And hopefully some of them will prove themselves to become warriors before leaf-bare." He said, looking back at his leader. The mud colored cat's mind suddenly switched back to his argument at the last gathering, and he asked, "What was that argument about again?"

"something about what clan was better, really mudfur". He flashed a grin at his best friend and pawed at him before he yawend and turned. he began to walk toward the four trees

Littlenose slwoly padded into the clearing. She watched as Snakestar chose Mudfur to accompany him to the Gathering. Once again follwing her leader, she raced ahead of them, unable to meet her leaders eyes.

Snakestar stormed back into camp and sat down stiffly. he was going to have to have words with his deputy. his eyes glittered. she was stepping way out of line. he didnt like snowflower.... well he wasnt ready to admit it to himself. but she didnt need to but her nose in. his mouth opened and a snake like hiss came out of it.

Littlenose padded up to Snkestar, looking at her paws. "Snakestar I-" The Egyptian Mau didn't know what to say. "Just know your risking your reputation as a leader, not mine." She murmurs sadly. "I know you can strip me of my Deputyship right here for saying this but, I don't feel like I can look up to you anymore." She admitted.

"you dont think you can look up to me anymore? because i fell in love with a cat that wasnt you is that it?". He spat with fury "you had no right to go poking your littlenose into anything!". he gave a low hiss, "you are stripped of deputyship and confined to camp for the next moon". His eyes glittered with betrayal. how could that cat do that to him? He whisked around and stormed out of camp

Littlenose was shocked. Her leader felt she had betray him. She felt like she was just battered with a thousand sharp claws that kept tearing at her, over and over... "Stripped of my deputyship for a moon..." She whispered. She had to talk with her leader about his relationship, not her rank. -SC Border-

Littlenose returned to camp sobbing and flopped down on the ground. "You an idiot!" She snarled to herself. "You don't deserve to have been Deputy!" She wailed and scraped her claws on the ground. "I can't even be Snakestar's friend because he won't let me." She whispered sadly.

Snakestar returned to camp tired and with no energy. he headed into the leaders den and curled up in his pile of moss. his face tired.

Littlenose watched as Snakestar went into his den. "Why won't you just let me have a good conversation with you, like we used to?" She murmured. Littlenose got up and padde warily towards her leaders den. She knwe she had to try one last time to gain his friendship again. "Snakestar?" She whispered. "It's Littlenose, I know your angry with me but may I please come in?" She asks.

"tell me in the morning". The tired leader grumbled, he was worried that shadowclan might attack on the morrow. he had to get a good nights sleep. go back to the warriors den littlenose". he mumbled falling asleep.

Littlenose stared at her leader for a moment. "Yes, Snakestar." She sighed and turned around. "Rest well." She murmured and left to the warriors den, settling down in her nest.

Snakestar was out of his nest before dawn heading toward the shadowclan border, he just wanted to see snowflower then he would talk to littlenose.

Littlenose watched as Snakestar left the camp. She knew where he was going, but she wasn't going to try to stop him. The Egyptian Mau was thinking of how to start their talk.

Snakestar soon returned to camp and beckoned for the warrior to get over to him. he watched her and said calmly "you made some mistakes, and i got overly angry. lets put the past where it belongs"

Littlenose was surprised but said, "Thank you, Snakestar. I'm sorry for getting in bewteen you and Snowflower, I just wanted to save you and her from any hard decisions and heart break." She murmured. "But if she makes you happy, I'm okay with you tqo being together." She told him. "Does that mean I'm Deputy again?" she asks cautiously. "More importantly though, are we friends again?"

"as to being friends of course, deputy i may need to think about it for a little while. why dont you go on a hunting trip? it might relieve you of some stress". he gave a slight smile.

"I understand." Littlenose said, more cheerful now. "Would..., you likke to come with me?" She asks. "It's fine if you say no." She tells him and waits for his response. The Egyptian Mau started grooming her fur, waiting for his answer.

Snakestar perked his ears and smiled gently "sure! i cant wait, should we go to outlook rock or perhaps the moor?" he didnt suggest Barleys farm because the windclan cats only went there in leafbare to get their prey. he flicked his tail lightly and smiled down at his friend.

(Sheesh! I go for a day without getting on an I miss all this!)

Mudfur woke up and drowsily looked over at Snakestar and Littlenose having a conversation. He looked around and his eyes suddenly flew wide open. "Great StarClan!" He yowled, running over to Snakestar. "Did I oversleep my nap, did I miss the gathering?"
